Uploading large pictures can take a long time and viewing them on the Internet is not any faster. You can also waste a good amount of time if you try to resize your images one by one. With Light Image Resizer, you can reduce the resolution of multiple pictures in a single run. The application allows you to resize them through manual input or by selecting various resizing profiles. It provides other useful features as well and the best part is that everything is very well organized, on a user friendly interface.

The application is free for personal use and you can purchase a license for the Pro version, if you wish to use it for commercial purposes. It provides support for all modern Windows versions and it doesn't have any special requirements. If you don't want to make any changes to your preferred web browsers or to install additional toolbars, you should be careful what Accept buttons you click during the installation process.

It should not take more than a minute to get used to the layout of the user interface. You can import pictures and prepare a resizing process on separate tabs. It is sufficient to select a resizing profile or type in the new dimensions manually, select a resizing mode, set up an output path and click a button to start resizing the pictures. The interface can be expanded to reveal additional options, on several sub-tabs. You can use these options to add effects on your images, watermark them, invert their colors, send them by email and more.

You can define a new size for your images in pixels, percentages, inches or centimeters. The application also includes several predefined resizing profiles for emails, Facebook, DVDs, mobile phones or other devices. Before starting the resizing process, you can decide to overwrite the original pictures, create copies in another folder, resize and move them, compress the files, create PDFs or share the images on Facebook.

Pros

You can resize a large number of pictures in a single run. The software provides you with various resizing profiles, for websites, mobile phones and so on. Light Image Resizer is free for personal use and its features are very easy to understand.

Cons

You will encounter a few nag screens while using the free version. Resizing a huge amount of pictures can take less than a minute, thanks to Light Image Resizer's straightforward and easy to understand functionality.
